Parodia leninghausii – Clustering Form
release_alert Low Stock - 1 available
These unusual Parodia leninghausii have developed exceptionally strong clustering habits, producing numerous golden-spined offsets around their larger central heads.
Five individually photographed plants are available. Each is being sold as a separate one-off specimen. Select your preferred plant from the options, and you will receive the exact plant shown for that selection.
“Clustering Form” is a descriptive name for their prolific offsetting habit. These plants are not being presented as a formally named cultivar, botanical forma, monstrose mutation or crested form.
Why These Plants Are Special
- Large, established clusters containing numerous individual heads.
- Fine golden-yellow spines create a soft, glowing appearance.
- Each plant has its own naturally developed shape and arrangement of offsets.
- An opportunity to purchase a mature cluster without waiting years for a small plant to develop.
- Only five individually photographed specimens are available.
Selecting Your Plant
Please review the photographs and select your preferred plant from the available options. Each plant is individually photographed, and the plant shown for your selected option is the exact plant you will receive.
These are mature plants and will differ naturally in their number of heads, overall shape, height and amount of offsetting.
Flowers
Mature Parodia leninghausii can produce bright yellow flowers around the crowns of established stems. Flowering is seasonal, and plants may not be flowering when purchased or delivered.
Mature Plant Condition
As established specimens, these plants may have minor natural marks, old flower remnants, corking or areas where the closely packed heads have rubbed against one another. These are normal features of mature clustering cacti and form part of each plant’s individual character.
Care
- Light: Provide very bright light or morning sun. Gradually acclimatise the plant before placing it in stronger direct sunlight.
- Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the growing media to dry completely before watering again. Keep considerably drier during winter.
- Media: Use a coarse, mineral-rich cactus mix with excellent drainage.
- Temperature: Protect from frost, prolonged cold and excessive winter moisture.
- Fertiliser: Apply a diluted cactus fertiliser occasionally during active growth.
- Repotting: Repot only when necessary. A wide, stable container will help support the expanding cluster.
Transport Note
These plants will be packed carefully. Due to their dense growth, some spines or closely positioned offsets may rub during transport. Minor movement marks do not affect the health of the plant.
