Phaius tankervilleae var. bernaysii
check_circle In Stock
Phaius tankervilleae var. bernaysii is the rare Australian form of the Swamp Orchid, a magnificent terrestrial species producing tall spikes of soft green and cream flowers with white throats. Native to Queensland’s coastal wetlands, it is one of Australia’s most spectacular native orchids and can reach impressive size under the right conditions.
This variety differs from the typical Phaius tankervilleae by its lighter colouration and slightly more compact growth habit. It’s ideal for collectors of native orchids or those seeking a bold, tropical display plant for shaded gardens or large pots.
