Philodendron erubescens 'White Wizard'
They are well suited for indoors as they grow well in low light and are great for pots and larger planters.
When small they make amazing plarts in terrariums and with a heavy cutting back they can be kept small and compact for years.
To keep a plant compact it must be allowed to grow to a reasonable size and the central growth must be removed; this will force the plant to cluster with much smaller plantlets.
This can be done every year or two.
Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums; potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between waterings.
Keep in some direct sunlight or provide artificial light. Avoid heaters and draughty positions. Fertiliser should be only used it you would like the plant to grow.
Lack of tertiliser will keep plants shorter and more compact. Temperatures above 20 deg C will speed up growth, between 10 and 20 deg C growth will be extremely slow and plants can be pruned to keep compact.
Dead leaves can be removed for cosmetic reasons. Keep on the dry side in winter.
