Kimnachia ramulosa, formerly known as Pseudorhipsalis ramulosa, is a distinctive epiphytic cactus native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. Unusual among cacti for its flattened red to greenish stems and trailing habit, it thrives in shaded jungle canopies and makes an eye-catching hanging specimen.

Distinctive Features

• Flattened stems: Unsegmented ribbon-like stems that flush vivid burgundy under bright filtered light.
• Pendulous habit: Naturally trailing growth perfect for baskets or elevated displays.
• Small blooms: Bears inconspicuous cream to pale yellow flowers followed by small white berries.

Care Tips

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light; avoid harsh direct sun that may scorch the foliage.
• Water: Keep lightly moist during active growth; allow top layer to dry between watering.
• Humidity: Benefits from high humidity but tolerates average indoor conditions.
