Senecio haworthia is a perennial succulent shrublet hailing from the Eastern Cape of South Africa. This compact, drought-hardy plant is cherished for its densely packed, blue-grey leaves that are covered in a waxy cuticle, helping reduce moisture loss. It's an excellent candidate for dry landscapes and performs equally well in containers.
Care Tips
Light: Thrives in bright light to full sun, though can tolerate partial shade.
Water: Water sparingly; allow the soil to dry out completely between watering sessions.
Humidity: Prefers dry air; avoid high humidity environments.
Media: Requires well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix with added grit or perlite.
Temperature: Ideal range is 10-25°C; protect from frost.
Fertiliser: Use a diluted cactus fertiliser during active growth, no more than once a month.
Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when root-bound; ensure good drainage.
