Sinningia 'Crushed Velvet'
Caudiciform Succulent, Sinningia Crushed Velvet (S. bullata x leucotricha)
This is an exciting new hybrid developed by Paradisia Nurseries between Sinningia leucotricha and S. bullata. Stunning large potato-like tuber grows above ground and will eventually expand up to 20cm across in 10 or 15 years. Being an inter-species hybrid these plants have exceptional vigor and are extremely hardy. Beautiful velvet leaves appear on new growth followed by bright orange/red flowers from winter to autumn. Stems can be removed from the tuber at any time of the year to encourage a new flush of velvet leaves and flowers. A collector's item.
Protected sunny to partly shaded position outdoors, indoors only in high light, water well when almost dry, plants can survive long periods without water but will not thrive or grow.
The plant will be sent potted in its original pot, foliage will be cut back as shown in the last photo as foliage will not survive transit.

Dispatch day is Tuesday/Wednesday, orders placed after Monday will be sent the following week. WA, NT and Tas cut off day is Thursday for the following week dispatch as our treatment processes are done of a Friday.
Note: Due to government requirements, Plant Health Certification (PHAC) charges of $20 will apply to WA, and $10 to NT and Tas. This fee will be incorporated into the shipping cost.
