Syngonium podophyllum 'Batik' is a cultivated variety of the species native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. This cultivar is recognised for its foliage patterning, where deep green leaves are marked with cream to pale yellow vein-like lines that resemble traditional batik fabric designs. Under indoor conditions it generally maintains its arrow-shaped juvenile leaves, though in natural climbing growth the species can produce more lobed, mature foliage.
Care Tips:
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong leaf patterning; protect from harsh direct sun.
Water: Water when the top layer of the potting mix begins to dry; avoid waterlogging.
Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity; use a humidity tray or mist occasionally in dry climates.
Media: Plant in a well-draining mix containing organic matter.
Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 18-27°C; avoid cold air and sudden drops.
Fertiliser: Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season.
Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when root growth becomes restricted.

Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:
$20 fee applies to WA orders.
$10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.
This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout. It covers the mandatory biosecurity treatments (ICA-29, PS-27, ICA-62) required for interstate compliance.
