Syngonium podophyllum 'Sunshine Speckles'

Syngonium podophyllum 'Roxanna' is a cultivated form of the widely distributed Syngonium podophyllum, a climbing aroid native to tropical Central and South America. This variety produces arrowhead-shaped leaves with a pink to rose-toned central flush, which contrasts against lighter green margins. The colour intensity can vary depending on light levels, often becoming richer in brighter, indirect light. Like the species, the plant can transition from juvenile to mature foliage with age, developing more lobed leaves if given support to climb. In its natural form, Syngonium podophyllum grows as an understory vine in humid forests, using aerial roots to cling to tree trunks.

Care Tips:

• Light – Thrives in bright, indirect light; avoid strong direct sun to prevent leaf scorch.
• Water – Keep the soil lightly moist but not waterlogged; allow the top layer to dry slightly between waterings.
• Humidity – Prefers moderate to high humidity; mist or use a humidifier in drier conditions.
• Media – Use a well-draining aroid mix containing bark, perlite, and peat or coco coir.
