Tillandsia 'Betty'
Tillandsia 'Betty' is a cultivated hybrid resulting from a cross between Tillandsia xerographica and Tillandsia brachycaulos. This hybrid combines the robust, rosette-forming structure of T. xerographica with the vivid colouration of T. brachycaulos. The plant features broad, arching leaves with a silvery-green hue due to fine trichome coverage. As it approaches blooming, the foliage blushes to a striking pink or red, and it produces a tall, capitate inflorescence with pink bracts and tubular purple flowers. This cultivar is appreciated for its ornamental appeal and adaptability to various growing conditions.
