Tillandsia 'Cotton Candy Compact' is a smaller, more compact variant of Tillandsia 'Cotton Candy', a hybrid between Tillandsia stricta and Tillandsia recurvifolia. It features dense, silvery-green foliage forming a tight rosette and produces a soft pink inflorescence with small, tubular violet flowers. Its smaller size makes it ideal for terrariums, mounted displays, or decorative arrangements.

Distinctive Features

• Leaves: Soft, silvery-green leaves that form a compact rosette. The leaves are typically 5-8cm long (approximately 2-3 inches) and are covered in fine trichomes, giving them a slightly fuzzy texture.
• Flowers: Produces a stunning inflorescence with bright pink bracts and tubular purple flowers. The flowers emerge from the centre of the rosette and create a beautiful contrast with the silvery foliage.
• Growth Habit: This Tillandsia has a compact, rosette-forming growth habit. It is an epiphyte, which means it naturally grows on trees and other surfaces, absorbing moisture and nutrients from the air and rain.

Care Tips

• Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate leaves. An east-facing windowsill is often ideal.
