Tillandsia Cotton Candy 'Long Flower' is a selected cultivar of this hybrid air plant, renowned for its distinctly extended floral stem that rises well above the rosette. Originally developed from a cross between Tillandsia recurvifolia and Tillandsia stricta, this particular form is recognised for its long bloom display and pastel pink inflorescence. Native to South America, this epiphyte thrives mounted or suspended, drawing moisture and nutrients from the air.

Care Tips

  • Light: Bright, indirect light or filtered sun; avoid harsh direct exposure.
  • Water: Mist 2–3 times weekly, ensuring complete drying between; occasional soak in dry climates.
  • Humidity: Prefers 50–70% relative humidity; supplement with misting in dry indoor conditions.
  • Media: Mount on cork, driftwood, or use in an open-air terrarium; never plant in soil.
  • Temperature: Best between 15–28 °C; protect from frost.
  • Fertiliser: Use bromeliad or orchid fertiliser monthly at ¼ strength during warmer months.
  • Repotting: Not applicable; simply remount if base becomes unstable or crowded.

  • Friday Dispatch: Orders placed by Wednesday 11:59 PM AEST.

Orders placed after these cut-offs will be dispatched on the next available day.

Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:

  • $20 fee applies to WA orders.
  • $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.

This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout. It covers the mandatory biosecurity treatments (ICA-29, PS-27, ICA-62) required for interstate compliance.
