Vanda Allience Ascda. (Suksamran Gold x Yellow Spotted)

The hybrid Ascocenda (Suksamran Gold × Yellow Spotted) belongs to the Vanda alliance, combining traits from *Vanda* and *Ascocentrum* species. It produces upright growth with strap-shaped leaves arranged in two ranks, and flowers on arching to upright spikes. The blooms are typically golden yellow with varying red to orange spotting inherited from the Yellow Spotted parent, while the Suksamran Gold influence enhances the warm base colour and overall flower size. Each inflorescence can carry numerous long-lasting flowers, and with proper care, flowering can occur more than once a year.

Care Tips:

• Light – Requires bright, filtered light; some gentle direct sun helps intensify colour.
• Water – Water frequently during warm weather, allowing roots to dry slightly between waterings; reduce slightly in cooler months.
• Humidity – Maintain 60–80% humidity with good airflow.
• Media – Best grown in slatted baskets or mounted to allow roots to hang freely; can also be grown in coarse orchid bark if watered frequently.
• Temperature – Prefers 18–30 °C; avoid temperatures below 12 °C.
• Fertiliser – Feed weekly with a diluted balanced orchid fertiliser; flush regularly to avoid salt build-up.
