Vanda 'Two Tone Blue' is a cultivated hybrid selected for its vivid, dual-toned blue to violet flowers and compact upright growth habit. Originating from tropical Asian lineage, this mericlone excels under high light and warmth, reflecting its epiphytic heritage. Produces upright stems bearing 5 to 8 large, boldly speckled flowers per spike.
Care Tips
- Light: Thrives in very bright light with some direct sun; avoid full midday exposure unless well acclimatised.
- Water: Water frequently during active growth; allow roots to dry slightly between waterings. Use rainwater or low-mineral water where possible.
- Humidity: Prefers high humidity (60–80%) with strong air movement.
- Media: Grows best in open baskets or mounted with minimal media; ensure excellent airflow around roots.
- Temperature: Ideal range 18–30 °C; sensitive to cold below 10 °C.
- Fertiliser: Apply balanced orchid fertiliser weekly at quarter strength during spring to early autumn.
- Repotting: Minimal repotting required; refresh mounts or baskets every 2–3 years if needed.

Non-Biosecurity States (QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, SA): We now offer two dispatches per week for these regions:
- Tuesday Dispatch: Orders placed by Sunday 11:59 PM AEST.
- Friday Dispatch: Orders placed by Wednesday 11:59 PM AEST. Orders placed after these cut-offs will be dispatched on the next available day.
Biosecurity States (WA, NT, TAS): These orders require mandatory biosecurity treatment (PHC) and follow a specific weekly schedule:
- Cut-off: Orders must be placed by Thursday 11:59 PM AEST.
- Dispatch Day: Orders are processed over the weekend and dispatched on Tuesday.
Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:
- $20 fee applies to WA orders.
- $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders. This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping costat checkout.
