Tillandsia 'Califano'

Tillandsia 'Califano' is a remarkable hybrid cultivar from the cross between Tillandsia baileyi and Tillandsia ionantha. This striking air plant can grow to over 15 cm in height, featuring long, curving leaves with a frosted appearance due to a dense coating of trichomes. The foliage exhibits green to silver hues and blushes a vibrant pink when in bloom, producing bright grape-violet, tubular flowers. T. 'Califano' is known for producing multiple offsets at its base, allowing it to form large clumps.

Care Tips

• Light: Provide the Tillandsia 'Califano' with bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves.
• Water: Mist the plant 2-3 times a week with lukewarm water. Alternatively, you can soak the plant in a bowl of water for 15-20 minutes once a week. Allow the plant to dry completely before returning it to its display location.
