Tillandsia intermedia

Tillandsia intermedia is an unusual species native to coastal and low-elevation regions of Mexico, where it grows in warm, breezy environments often suspended from trees or rock faces. This species has a distinctive form, with narrow, flexible leaves emerging from a pseudobulbous base and twisting as they elongate. It often grows in a pendant or semi-upright fashion, making it ideal for hanging displays. The plant produces a tall, slender inflorescence with red to pink bracts and violet tubular flowers. Its form and adaptability have also made it a popular parent in hybridisation.

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect to filtered sun; can tolerate more sun with acclimation
• Water: Mist 2–4 times weekly or soak occasionally; ensure full drying within a few hours
• Humidity: Performs well in moderate to high humidity with airflow
