Tillandsia juncea

Tillandsia juncea is a slender, grass-like air plant distributed widely from Mexico through Central America and into northern South America. It typically inhabits open, seasonally dry forests and savannah edges, often growing on trees or rocks in bright, breezy locations at low to mid elevations. Its narrow, upright leaves are dark green to grey-green and form a fine, fountain-like silhouette. The species produces a tall, thin inflorescence with reddish bracts and purple tubular flowers.

• Water: Mist 2–3 times weekly or soak occasionally; ensure complete drying
• Humidity: Adapts well to moderate humidity with good airflow
• Media: Mount on cork, wood, or display in vases or upright holders
• Temperature: Prefers 18–30°C; protect from frost and prolonged cold
• Fertiliser: Use diluted tillandsia fertiliser monthly in warmer months
