Tillandsia leonamiana 'Leon' is a cultivar of a Brazilian species that produces a neat rosette of narrow, silvery-green leaves covered in fine trichomes. The foliage remains a consistent pale green to silver hue and is adapted to moderate light and humidity. During flowering, it develops a short inflorescence with red to reddish-pink bracts and tubular purple flowers.
Care Tips:
Light: Prefers bright, filtered light; tolerates gentle direct sun
Water: Mist 2–3 times per week or soak briefly; ensure drying within a few hours
Humidity: Performs best in moderate to high humidity with ventilation
Media: Mount on cork, bark, or wood; also suitable for open containers
Temperature: Optimal range is 15–30°C; protect from cold and frost
Fertiliser: Use diluted tillandsia fertiliser monthly during active growth

Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:
$20 fee applies to WA orders.
$10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.
This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout. It covers the mandatory biosecurity treatments (ICA-29, PS-27, ICA-62) required for interstate compliance.
