Key Requirements (Quick Reference)
Success with Nepenthes depends on high humidity, warmth, and aeration. Unlike VFTs, they hate sitting in water and require loose, airy media.
- Water Purity: Requires pure, low-TDS water. Never allow minerals to build up. Learn the Zero-Tolerance Rule here.
- Watering Method: Water from the top and allow excess to drain. Keep media moist but not soggy.
- Temperature/Dormancy: Requires No Dormancy. Must remain warm year-round (above 18°C).
- Media: Requires airy, open media (Sphagnum moss and Perlite/Bark). See our Repotting & Media Guide.
