Beaucarnia recurvata

'The Ponytail Palm'

One of the hardiest of all indoor plants being able to survive in low light with minimal care, however Ponytails looks best grown under high light.

They make amazing garden specimens, eventually growing 6 metres or more tall, with a huge bulbous base in 100+ years.

Will remain small if kept potted.

Position - Anywhere outdoors futl sun or shade.

Indoors best in sunny positions otherwise they will not form a nice shape. Frost hardy.

Watering - can be watered at any time of the year and will survive exceptionally long periods without water.

Feeding - 25% of recommended dosage monthly in growing period. The less fertiliser, the better the shape of the plant. Fertilisers high in nitrogen can produce larger plants with less colour.

Repotting - can be left to overgrow their pots or repotted in the warmer months in almost any well-drained potting mix.
