Calathea bella 'Network'

"Network Plant"

Now renamed Geoppertia kegeljanii, is hardy and great in low light so well suited for indoor gardens and terrariums.

They are very slow growing and will not require much maintenance so it can be kept small and compact for long periods.

Insignis will also do exceptionally well in pots in most places indoors.

Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums; potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between waterings.

Keep in some direct sunlight or provide artificial light. Avoid heaters and draughty positions.

Fertiliser should be only used if you would like the plant to grow. Lack of fertiliser will keep plants shorter and more compact.

Temperatures above 20 deg C will speed up growth, between 10 and 20 deg C growth will be extremely slow and plants can be pruned to keep compact.

This Calathea is hardy but will not survive outdoors in cold climates. Keep on the drier side in winter.
