Pedilanthus tithymaloides Nana 'Dwarf Devil's Backbone'

Also known as Euphorbia tithymaloides is native to Cetral and Sth America

Zig Zag plants are hardy tropical plants that mu st be kept indoors in colder climates.

They are able to survive well under low light making them well suited for indoor gardens and terrariums and will also do very well in small pots.

Tithymaloides has an upright growth habit and can be cut back to almost nothing to be kept small and compact for long periods.

Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums; potting mix should be allowed to almost dry between waterings.

Keep in a bright well-lit area or provide artificial light.

Avoid heaters and draughty positions. Fertiliser should be only used if you would like the plant to grow.

Lack of fertiliser will keep plants shorter and more compact.

Temperatures above 20 deg C will speed up growth, between 15 and 20 deg C growth will be extremely slow and plants can be pruned to keep compact.
